Ainsworth Game Technology Appoints Deloitte as New Auditors

Ainsworth Gaming Technology, a leading supplier of casino games in Australia and worldwide, has named Deloitte its new auditors. Following the appointment, Deloitte will take up its responsibilities with immediate effect.

The Board of AGT selected Deloitte to replace KPMG, whose resignation was accepted by ASIC (Australian Securities and Investment Commission). This selection was based on their reputation, experience, and global recognition. Part of Deloitte's duties under the agreement will be to audit AGT's financial reports starting January 1, 2023, and all subsequent years.

This appointment comes when AGT has been shaking up its top leadership. Last month, the company appointed Haig Asenbauer, an Austrian lawyer and the Deputy Chair of AGT's largest shareholder, Novomatic, to the position of non-executive director. He is a partner of the law firm, Asenbauer Rechtsanwaelte GmbH, located in Vienna, Austria, and has been the Deputy Chair of Novomatic AG's supervisory board. Novomatic, a popular technology supplier for online casino sites, has a 52% share in AGT. 

Ainsworth Reports Strong International Sales

In other related news for Ainsworth Game Technology, the company recently posted a remarkable 118.5% surge in profits for the six months that ended on December 31, according to the latest financial report. The report says the company registered a total figure of AU$ 5.9 million ($3.96 million), predominantly supported by strong international sales. 

The group reported a rise in revenue for the period in Australia and the Americas, which was attributed to better product performance and market conditions. Interestingly, 81% of Ainsworth's total gaming handle was from its international segment, a 20% uptick from the previous year. Recurring revenue rose to AU$45.7 million ($30.71 million), a 42% annual increase.
