Sweden, or the Kingdom of Sweden as it's officially called, is a Nordic country in the northern part of Europe. It has a land area of about 174,000 square miles, making it one of the largest European countries in the north. It borders Finland (east) and Norway (north and west). In its southwest area is a bridge-tunnel that goes across the Oresund and creates a connection to Denmark.
The country functions as a unitary state that oversees more than 250 municipalities and counties. And because of its high per capita income, it ranks well in economic competitiveness, prosperity, and quality of life.
