Bermuda, a country in the North Atlantic Ocean, is a British Overseas Territory. It has 181 islands. Hamilton is the capital city of Bermuda. The country is administered independently and has its own constitution and government.
Bermuda covers 53.2 km2 (20.5 sq mi) and had an estimated population of 71,176 people in 2018. Offshore financial services, especially insurance, tourism, and reinsurance, constitute Bermuda's most important economic sector.
Bermuda island is known for its pink sandy beaches, pulverized shells, and coral. Bermuda's largest city, St George's, and its fortifications are also famous and were designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2000.
