Barbados is an island in the eastern Caribbean and a sovereign British Commonwealth nation. It is bordered by Saint Vincent, Saint Lucia, the Grenadines, and Venezuela to the east and northeast respectively. The island is surrounded by botanical gardens, beaches, ancient plantation houses, and the Harrison’s Cave formation.
The total number of people living on the island of Barbados is 290,000. The island covers 432 sq km of land area, making it smaller than Andorra or half the size of Washington DC, USA. While English is the official language of the Barbadians, the Bajan Dialect is the notable regional language.
